Hudson Academy Briefly Placed On Controlled Campus Status After Unfounded Weapon Report

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Hudson Academy was temporarily placed on controlled campus status earlier today after a report that a weapon may be present on school grounds.

The Pasco Sheriff’s Office (PSO) responded swiftly to the report and determined that there was no weapon and no threat to the school.

The school was placed on controlled campus status out of an abundance of caution while deputies investigated the report. PSO quickly located the student in question and confirmed that there was no weapon.

Normal school operations have resumed, and the school day is proceeding as scheduled.
