Pasco County Broken down boats in Hudson Florida

Hudson Boat Ramp To Be Closed All Day On May 11 For Derelict Vessel Removal

On Wednesday, May 11, the Hudson beach boat ramp will be temporarily closed all day.

HUDSON, FL. – According to Pasco Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday, May 11, the Hudson beach boat ramp will be temporarily closed all day.

Boaters should use an alternate ramp while authorities remove a derelict vessel. Nick’s ParkSims Park and Anclote River Park boat ramps will be open as usual and available as an alternate.

In February, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri held a press conference to announce a similar initiative to remove derelict vessels from the waterways of Pinellas County.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and various other contracted cities have received numerous complaints from citizens’ referencing derelict vessels, live-aboard vessels, and mooring fields in the Intracoastal waterways and portions of Tampa Bay.
