SPRING HILL, Fla. – A Spring Hill woman was killed after a vehicle collided with her bicycle early Wednesday morning on Shady Hills Road, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 12:53 AM, south of Little Ranch Road.
FHP reports indicate that a Lexus sedan, driven by an 18-year-old man from Hudson, was traveling southbound on Shady Hills Road. The sedan reportedly overtook and struck a 60-year-old Spring Hill woman who was riding a bicycle southbound in the center of the roadway.
The bicyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The Hudson teen sustained no injuries in the crash.
