HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – An early morning high-speed pursuit on Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County ended with several suspects at large and state troopers recovering multiple firearms and drugs from a fleeing vehicle.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, state troopers spotted a speeding vehicle traveling southbound on I-75 near mile marker 250 at approximately 3:00 AM on June 3, 2026. When the driver failed to pull over, troopers initiated a pursuit that continued down to State Road 674.

The chase concluded near US Highway 301, where troopers executed a successful Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) maneuver to force the vehicle to a stop. Immediately following the tactical crash, several male occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
