Federal immigration officials in Boston have arrested a Cuban national with a massive local rap sheet spanning 85 criminal arraignments and multiple drug trafficking convictions.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents tracking the fugitive picked up Pedro Fundora-Vasquez on April 22 during a series of targeted enforcement operations across the city. Authorities confirmed that Fundora-Vasquez, an unlawfully present Cuban citizen, is being held in federal custody without bond while the government processes his formal deportation paperwork.
Court records and immigration tracking logs detail an extensive criminal history in the United States. His past convictions and court appearances include trafficking charges for heroin, cocaine, and marijuana, along with violent offenses including assault, resisting arrest, making terroristic threats, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Beyond the narcotics and weapons charges, Fundora-Vasquez’s record includes a prior charge for indecent assault and battery on a child. At the time of his arrest by federal agents, he also had an active, pending court charge for possession of cocaine.
He is currently being detained at an ICE facility and will remain there until his scheduled removal from the country.
