Suspect Apprehended Following Second Crash After Fleeing Fatal Collision
MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. – An illegal immigrant living in Bradenton faces multiple charges, including leaving the scene of a fatal crash, after he allegedly struck and killed a pedestrian on Friday night before fleeing the scene.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident occurred around 8:02 p.m. on 15th Street East, north of 49th Avenue East. A pickup truck, driven by 38-year-old Arnulfo Carranza Dominguez, was traveling northbound when it collided with a 46-year-old male pedestrian who was also walking in the northbound lane.
After the collision, Carranza Dominguez, the driver of the pickup truck, fled the scene in his vehicle, according to FHP.

A short time later, the FHP reports that the same pickup truck was involved in a second crash on 9th Street East, near 44th Avenue East. Following this second crash, Carranza Dominguez reportedly fled the scene on foot.
He was apprehended a short time later and was booked into the Manatee County Jail.
Carranza Dominguez is facing several charges, including:
- No Driver’s License Involving a Death
- Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Death
- DUI (Second Refusal)
- Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Property Damage
- DUI Property Damage
- No Driver’s License
- Violation of Probation
