Impatient Marina Shower Line Spat Turns Violent: Florida Man Jailed For Rock Attack

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 29-year-old Marathon man faces multiple charges after deputies said he struck another man in the face with a rock during an argument at a local marina Saturday night.

Kenneth Andrews was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 9 p.m. to a marina on Ocean View Avenue following reports of a fight between two men. Investigators determined that Andrews grew angry while waiting for his turn to use a shower facility. During the dispute, Andrews picked up a fist-sized rock and hit the victim in the face.

The victim sustained cuts to his face. Authorities reported that none of the injuries were life-threatening.

Andrews was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Monroe County jail.
