A joint operation involving the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) and the Southwest Florida INTERCEPT Task Force has resulted in the arrest of a former Naples man on nearly two dozen charges related to the sexual exploitation of animals.

Warning: The details below are disturbing.

Emmanuel Mireles-Garza, 30, was taken into custody Friday in Lee County. He faces 21 counts of Animal Cruelty/Possession of Images or Video of Animal Sex Activity.

The investigation began following a cybertip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children regarding a file containing child sexual abuse material shared on Snapchat.

While investigating the initial report, detectives uncovered disturbing communications from a second user. Authorities say these messages included the solicitation of minors, requests for videos of children, and graphic, self-produced footage depicting sexual acts with a family dog.

Through subpoenas and search warrants, detectives identified Mireles-Garza as the suspect. Investigators located him in Lee County, where he was reportedly in the process of moving, and arrested him on a Collier County warrant. His cellular phone was seized as evidence.

Sheriff Kevin Rambosk credited the swift coordination between the task force, the State Attorney’s Office, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for the arrest.

“This is an incredibly disturbing case,” Sheriff Rambosk said. “Together they ensured that this individual was safely and expeditiously taken into custody.”

Mireles-Garza is currently being held in the Lee County jail awaiting extradition to Collier County. The investigation remains active.
