Disney CEO seeks to quiet critics of his silence on Florida’s parental rights bill, claiming he was working behind the scenes for the LGBT lobby

Internal Critics At Disney Support Florida’s Parental Rights Law, Say Company Helping Leftists Spread “Misinformation”

Few can blame them for not speaking out publicly with the left-wing mob seething at the moment, but it appears the mood inside the Orlando kingdom is not all that magic right.

Some anonymous subversives inside Disney actually support the effort by Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and GOP state lawmakers in enacting the Parental Right in Education law.

As the Post Millennial reported on Saturday, “Many who work at Disney not only see no problem with the law but, like most parents in the state, are in favor of it.”

The conservative news outlet was reporting on a series of internal messages leaked by a Disney cast member to Jack Posobiec, a columnist at Human Events.

Posobiec also posted some of the screenshots to his Twitter account on Saturday.

The leaked communications indicate that many Disney staffers don’t see the law “through the propagandist lens of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ political opponents,” the PM noted

Posobiec released a sample on Twitter and said he would add more once they were vetted to conceal the identity of the leaker. “Sounds like workers just wanting to do their jobs,” he tweeted.

The new law, which takes effect on July 1, prohibits school districts and classroom teachers from implementing lesson plans about sexual orientation and gender identity to children in grades K-3.

After remaining on the sidelines for some time, Disney has gone full woke in its opposition. The company has said it will help get the measure repealed in the Legislature or overturned by the courts.

In one example of the resistance inside Disney, one message came from someone who claimed to be gay and a supporter of the law. “I think any form of sexual education shouldn’t be taught until you’re older and able to understand it. Not when you’re young and influential (sic) to the people who are teaching you. And in a perfect world we wouldn’t have teachers imposing their own personal beliefs.”

“Leave the bill alone,” the person continued, “because it isn’t infringing on ANY member of the LGBT community, nor is it to the heterosexual one. If you think it is, then maybe the issue lies with you wanting children to be involved with sexual things before their (sic) physically and mentally ready for it.”

“Let children be children,” another Disney employee added. “Most everyone is ignorant as to what the actual working of what the bill says and who it applies to. It doesn’t apply to gay or trans. [I]t applies to our education system.”

Another noted, “Walt [Disney] did not want politics and the things of the world to be part of Disney. Sad they have forgot (sic) that.”

And in one other example, one staffer noted, “As a parent, I don’t want my 3rd grader exposed to anything other than very basic reading, writing, math, etc. The legislation in no way discriminates against the LGBTQ+ community, and we need to stop propagating such misinformation.”
