HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. — A 64-year-old Inverness man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries Thursday morning following a collision involving his motorcycle and a car on State Road 50.

The crash happened just before noon at the intersection of Mobley Road. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old Brooksville man was driving an Infiniti Q50 north on Mobley Road when he attempted to make a left turn.

Troopers say the Infiniti pulled directly into the path of the motorcyclist, who was traveling east on SR-50 on a Harley Davidson. The motorcycle struck the car in the intersection.
