TREASURE ISLAND, FL. – Pinellas County Sheriff Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are seeking the public’s assistance in the investigation of a fatal crash in Treasure Island last weekend.
On Saturday, Aug.7, 2021, at approximately 10:29 p.m., 52-year-old Mark Walters was traveling southbound on Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island when he left the roadway and drove onto the sidewalk.
He struck and killed 46-year-old pedestrian Andrea Hamilton in the area of 10086 Gulf Boulevard. Walters was charged with DUI Manslaughter and remains in the Pinellas County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
