An Iraqi-led airstrike with support from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces has successfully eliminated five ISIS operatives in the Kirkuk region of Iraq. The precision strikes were carried out on January 31st, disrupting the terrorist group’s activities and contributing to the ongoing fight against ISIS.
Following the airstrikes, Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) conducted a clearance operation, discovering multiple explosive suicide belts and other materials, further preventing potential attacks.

This operation highlights the continued collaboration between Iraqi forces and their international partners in the fight against ISIS. The U.S.-led coalition, known as Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR), provided crucial technical support and intelligence, enabling the ISF to effectively target and neutralize the ISIS operatives.
