Democratic strategist James Carville took to Politicon’s YouTube channel on Friday to perform a scripted “broadcast” where he imagined a sweeping wave of Republican defeats in the upcoming November 3, 2026, midterm elections.
Acting as both the news anchor and various field correspondents, Carville narrated a hypothetical evening where prominent GOP figures lost their seats and President Donald Trump reacted with graphic outbursts within the White House.
The video began with Carville setting the stage for the mock broadcast. “Good evening and welcome to election night, November, the year 2026. This is your host James Carville with the YouTube Politicon Network, and we’ll be covering elections tonight,” he said.
He started his fictional coverage on the East Coast, pretending to check in with a correspondent in Portland, Maine, regarding Republican Senator Susan Collins. Carville, playing the reporter, claimed Collins was “running 16 points behind in the early returns” and described her staff as calling her “concerned.”

The strategist continued the roleplay by projecting a massive 18.5% reelection victory for Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and suggesting further Democratic gains in North Carolina and Florida. His commentary turned personal when discussing South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham’s fictional loss to Democrat Annie Andrews.
“Oh my god. You mean Dr. Annie Andrews is going to defeat the sycophant, the pliable, the idiotic, the gross Lindsey Graham?” Carville said while acting out a conversation with a fictional source. He then claimed Graham was at a “steam bathhouse down the street” where he was “weeping pitiously.”
The simulation peaked with a description of President Trump’s supposed reaction to the night’s results. Carville, citing a fake report from a correspondent, alleged that internal sources saw the president in the Lincoln Bedroom. “Trump is in the Lincoln bedroom throwing feces at the wall,” Carville stated. “I know he throws ketchup at the wall, but this is the first time that we’ve had reports of him throwing actual shit at the wall. But that seems the kind of mood he’s in.”

He ended the segment by thanking his “correspondents” for their work on the “historic election night.” This video follows a separate Monday upload where Carville used a series of insults and profanities to address the president directly. In that clip, he claimed Trump’s inner circle was betraying him and predicted the midterms would serve as a total rebuke of his administration.
These comments align with sentiments Carville expressed previously on his “Politics War Room” podcast in July 2024, where he admitted that fantasizing about the president’s misery brought him a sense of ease.
