LARGO, Fla. – Saturday night, officers of the Largo Police Department responded to a pedestrian-involved traffic crash on East Bay Dr. just west of Highland Ave.
The pedestrian was crossing northbound when he stepped into the roadway and into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The pedestrian, a juvenile male, was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Alcohol was not a factor in this crash. The Largo Police Departments Traffic Homicide Unit responded and is investigating the incident, which is still ongoing.
