A federal grand jury has indicted three individuals for an interstate kidnapping plot that involved abducting a woman in New Hampshire, driving her across state lines to Vermont, and torturing her for ransom money.
Damarcus Bonner, 30, and Tyron Harris, 27, face charges of kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping. Nicole Palardy, 37, of Claremont, New Hampshire, is also charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
According to federal court documents, the trio grabbed an adult woman in Claremont, New Hampshire, and drove her across the state line to a home in Springfield, Vermont. For roughly 24 hours, the captors allegedly held the victim against her will, beat her, tortured her, and demanded cash from both her and her associates.

The ordeal ended in the early morning hours of January 25, 2026, when Springfield Police learned of the situation and rushed to the home. Officers rescued the woman and arrested the suspects on the spot. Inside the house, investigators uncovered a firearm, drugs packaged for sale, items used for torture, and the duct tape used to bind the victim.
All three defendants had been sitting in Vermont state custody since January on local charges, though Harris and Bonner have since been moved to federal custody. If convicted, they face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
The FBI is spearheading the ongoing investigation, with help from the Vermont State Police, the Springfield Police Department, and the Claremont Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Vicinanzo is handling the prosecution.
The details listed in the charging documents are currently just allegations. All three defendants are legally presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
