Kissimmee And Lakeland Men Escape Injury After I-75 Semi-Truck Collision In Hillsborough County

A collision involving two tractor-trailers disrupted traffic on northbound Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County on Wednesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. near milepost 243. State troopers reported that a semi-truck driven by a 54-year-old man from Kissimmee was traveling northbound when traffic ahead began to slow down and stop. The Kissimmee driver brought his tractor-trailer to a halt in response to the changing road conditions.

A second tractor-trailer, driven by a 62-year-old man from Lakeland, was traveling behind the first truck. According to investigators, the Lakeland driver failed to stop in time and crashed directly into the back of the stopped semi-truck.
