OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A 42-year-old Kissimmee motorcyclist tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle crash in Osceola County on Saturday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The fatal incident occurred around 4:48 p.m. at the intersection of US-192 and Arabian Nights Boulevard in Kissimmee.

According to the FHP crash report, a Lexus RX SUV was traveling west on US-192 in the outside lane, just west of Arabian Nights Boulevard. At the same time, a Honda CBR 1000 motorcycle was also heading west in the inside lane.

Troopers indicated the crash happened when the Lexus SUV attempted a lane change from the outside lane into the inside lane, moving directly into the path of the approaching motorcycle.

The front of the motorcycle subsequently struck the rear of the Lexus SUV. The force of the impact caused the motorcycle to run off the roadway to the left, and the driver was thrown from the bike.

The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man from Kissimmee, was pronounced dead at the scene by FHP troopers.

The driver and passenger of the Lexus SUV were not injured in the collision and remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
