KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Kissimmee Police Department (KPD) is modernizing how residents and businesses interact with law enforcement with the launch of its new Online Reporting System. This digital platform is designed to offer a faster and more convenient way for the community to file reports for certain non-emergency incidents without requiring an in-person response from an officer.
The initiative aims to streamline the reporting process for the public while simultaneously allowing KPD officers to dedicate more time and resources to emergency situations and in-progress calls for service.
The new system covers several common non-emergency crimes, making it easier for people to file official documentation from their home or office. Incidents that qualify for online reporting include:
- Theft of Property
- Lost Property
- Vandalism/Criminal Mischief
- Theft from a Vehicle
- Harassing Communications
- Identity Theft/Fraud
The online system is specifically intended for reports that meet the following criteria:
- The incident is not an emergency or currently in progress.
- The incident does not involve weapons or threats.
- There are no known suspects or physical evidence that needs to be collected.
- The incident occurred within the City of Kissimmee limits.
- The report is being submitted by an individual 18 years or older.
“This new online reporting tool is another step forward in providing the best service possible to our community,” said Chief Broadway. “We want people to know that even if an incident is reported online, it still matters to us. Every report helps understand trends and keep Kissimmee a safe place to live, work, and visit.”
Every report filed through the digital system is carefully reviewed and processed by KPD personnel, and the filer receives a copy for their records.
The new Online Reporting System is now active and can be accessed by visiting kissimmee.gov/reportcrime.
The KPD reminds the community that for emergencies, they must always call 9-1-1. If a suspect is known or physical evidence needs to be collected, residents should still contact the KPD non-emergency line at (407) 846-3333 to have an officer dispatched.
