Kosovo Man Indicted In Florida For Running Dark Web Marketplace

TAMPA, Fla. – A Kosovo national has been indicted in Florida on federal charges for operating an online criminal marketplace known as BlackDB.cc.

Liridon Masurica, 33, was arrested in Kosovo on December 10, 2024. U.S. authorities are seeking his extradition to face charges of conspiracy to commit access device fraud and fraudulent use of unauthorized access devices.

According to the indictment, BlackDB.cc sold stolen personal information, including credit card numbers and social security numbers.

Cybercriminals used this information to commit various crimes, such as identity theft and tax fraud.

The investigation into BlackDB.cc was conducted by the FBI and IRS-Criminal Investigation, with assistance from international law enforcement agencies.
