HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A 60-year-old Lady Lake man has died following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Jasmine Drive and Mondon Hill Road in Brooksville on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 1:23 PM on April 11. A 50-year-old Brooksville man was driving a Toyota Camry northbound on Jasmine Drive while a 60-year-old man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound on Mondon Hill Road.
The FHP report states that the driver of the Toyota Camry continued into the intersection despite a posted stop sign.
The motorcycle then struck the sedan. Both drivers were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. The operator of the motorcycle later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
