POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 38-year-old Lakeland man was killed early Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross US-92.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. on March 8, 2025. A 26-year-old Lakeland man was driving a Nissan Rogue eastbound on US-92, east of Charlie Taylor Road.

The 38-year-old pedestrian was walking southbound across the highway when he entered the path of the approaching vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
