LAKELAND, Fla. – A Lakeland man wanted on fraud and theft charges was arrested Tuesday night after initially refusing to surrender to Polk County Sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies arrived at a residence on Summer Landing Drive around 10:00 PM to serve an arrest warrant on 48-year-old Alexander Almonte Gonzalez. The warrant stemmed from a Lakeland Police Department investigation.

Gonzalez initially refused to exit the house, but after being informed that a K-9 unit was on the scene and ready to assist, he surrendered peacefully.
Gonzalez was arrested and transported to the Polk County Jail. He faces charges of scheming to defraud and multiple thefts.
