LAKELAND, Fla. – A Lakeland brother and sister found themselves in hot water with the law on Saturday after a deceitful attempt to evade arrest. Rhonda Lee Woodsby-Alderman, 41, and James Lee Alderman, 43, were both taken into custody by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) after deputies located Woodsby-Alderman hiding in her home.
The incident began when deputies arrived at a residence on Rustic Court, seeking to serve two active warrants on Woodsby-Alderman for Violation of Probation related to petit theft. Despite their attempts, no one would answer the door.

Shortly after, her brother, James Alderman, arrived at the property. Deputies explained the reason for their presence, and Alderman went inside the home. He returned a moment later, informing the deputies that his sister was not there.

Both individuals were subsequently arrested.
