ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A verbal argument at a St. Petersburg gas station turned violent early Thursday morning, leaving two men hospitalized and both facing felony charges. Officers arrived at the Mobil Gas Station at 1750 34th St. S. just after 1 a.m. following reports of a shooting in the parking lot.
The physical confrontation began when 29-year-old DeAndre Randolph struck 41-year-old Anthony Oliver over the head with a cinder block during an exchange of words. Following the blow, Oliver produced a firearm and shot at Randolph.
Emergency responders transported both men to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. Authorities confirmed that the injuries sustained by both Randolph and Oliver are non-life-threatening.

Police processed arrests for both individuals involved in the altercation once their conditions stabilized. Randolph is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Oliver faces charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. Investigations into the full timeline of the dispute are ongoing.
