The latest Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll shows that former President Trump would defeat President Joe Biden in the November 2024 election.
This survey was conducted online within the United States from May 17-18, 2023, among 2,004 registered voters by The Harris Poll and HarrisX.

“Ron DeSantis can’t even best the unlikeable Kamala Harris in a hypothetical general election poll,” said the Trump campaign Friday.

Former President Donald Trump took aim at Florida’s Republican governor on Wednesday over election results in Florida and Kentucky.
Trump-endorsed candidate Republican Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron won the GOP nomination for governor on Tuesday with 49.6% of the vote, with DeSantis endorsee Kelly Craft, a former ambassador to the United Nations, finishing third.
“Congratulations to a ‘star’ in Kentucky, Daniel Cameron, who easily won the Republican Nomination for Governor,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Trump added: “He had my Complete and Total Endorsement. The DeSanctimonious backed candidate came in a DISTANT third. Ron’s magic is GONE!”
Trump also criticized DeSantis over the mayoral race results in Jacksonville, Florida, where Donna Deegan defeated Republican candidate Daniel Davis with 52% of the vote in Tuesday’s runoff.

“Wow! In a big upset, the DeSanctimonious backed Republican candidate for Mayor of Jacksonville, Florida, LOST,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “This is a shocker. If they would have asked me to Endorse, he would have won, easily. Too proud to do so. Fools! This is a BIG LOSS for the Republican Party. Remember, ‘Rob’ only won because of me!!!” Trump said.
The latest Emerson College poll found that nearly three-quarters (70 percent) of likely Republican voters in Kentucky would pick Trump in a hypothetical GOP primary, with DeSantis a distant second at 14 percent, giving the former president a 56-point lead.

The Emerson College Survey of 500 likely GOP voters was conducted in a state where Trump, as well as past Republican candidates, has known success, having won at least 62 percent of the votes in both the 2016 and 2020 elections, with DeSantis not even a confirmed 2024 candidate yet.
Trump also won Kentucky’s Republican caucus in 2016 with nearly 36 percent of the vote, ahead of Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who was at 31.6 percent.
This poll indicates Trump remains the favorite to clinch the GOP presidential nomination in 2024.
