In his first two years, President Joe Biden has proposed a widespread agenda to allegedly rescue us from climate change, even as he does nothing about the two biggest polluters on earth, China and India.

As The Free Press has reported, Biden’s green energy push has sought to cripple the oil industry to get us into electric cars, gaslit us about the dangers of gas stoves, promised us dirtier clothes with a crackdown on washing machines, and turned up the heat on controlling window air-conditioners.

Now, as noted by Townhall columnist Matt Vespa, we may not be far from Biden picking up on the liberals’ latest quest to take us back to the Stone Age.

Left-wing city after city wants to rid Americans of these pesky leaf blowers and lawn mowers.

Vespae quoted a report on Sunday from USA Today, which noted regulators and environmental activists “seek to blunt climate change” by cracking down on small gas-powered engines.

“Environmentalists say using a commercial gas leaf blower for an hour produces emissions equal to driving from Denver to Los Angeles,” USA Today noted, apparently with no skepticism at all.

California has adopted a ban on small, gas-powered engines that takes effect next year. Other liberal cities and states are following suit.

According to USA Today, these regulators and activists want Americans and the lawn-care workers they hire to switch to electric units — which, not surprisingly, as with everything else in the green energy market, is more expensive and less efficient than gas-powered tools.

The other issue that USA Today neglected is where will we get the energy to power all these electric engines.

“Lord have mercy, what a terrible idea: declaring war on lawns. What’s next?” Vespa added. Perhaps, as he noted, it’s the Republican response that should really worry us.

“Even more embarrassing,” Vespa added, ‘is that the GOP has yet to find a message that’s a true election killer when it comes to defeating Democrats.”
