A Louisiana man has been sentenced to nearly two decades in federal prison for transporting a minor across state lines for the purpose of engaging in criminal sexual activity and for illegal possession of a firearm. Isiah Lee Campbell Jr., 39, of Shreveport, received his sentence in a Houston courtroom after pleading guilty to the charges in July 2024.
According to court documents, Campbell transported a 16-year-old victim from Louisiana to Houston in 2019 and forced her to engage in commercial sex acts with adult men.

He advertised the victim on a prostitution website and kept all the money she earned. Campbell also repeatedly sexually assaulted the victim and used threats of violence to coerce her into continuing the sex work.
In June 2019, Campbell was stopped by authorities in Harris County while driving a stolen vehicle. A handgun was found under his seat, and the victim, identified as a runaway from Louisiana, was with him.
