LUTZ, FL. – The Florida Lottery announced that Feras Al Younes, 48, of Lutz, claimed a $2 million top prize from the $10 GOLD RUSH SUPREME Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,760,000.00.
When asked about his experience, Al Younes told the Florida Lottery that he got lucky after nearly running out of gas. “I pulled into the Circle K at the last minute to fill up and decided to buy a Scratch-Off ticket while I waited. I was standing at the pumps when I suddenly realized I was holding a $2 million winning ticket! I was so excited that I left before my tank was full!”
Al Younes purchased his winning ticket from Circle K, located at 17402 Dona Michelle Boulevard in Tampa. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $10 GOLD RUSH SUPREME game features more than $244 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million! The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-3.49.
Players can also enter non-winning GOLD RUSH SUPREME tickets into the Gold Rush Supreme Bonus Play Promotion! In each of the eight drawings, one player will win a growing jackpot prize starting at $10,000, five players will each win $5,000, 15 players will each win $1,000, and 20 players will each win $500.
