Double Fatality On US-41: Lutz Motorcyclist And Land O’ Lakes Bicyclist Both Die After Collision

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A collision between a motorcycle and a bicycle left two men dead in Pasco County on Thursday night. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the accident took place at 8:45 PM on April 23, 2026, along US-41 north of Swans Landing Drive.

According to state troopers, an 81-year-old man from Lutz was traveling southbound on a Kawasaki motorcycle.

At the same time, an 87-year-old man from Land O’ Lakes was attempting to cross the highway on a bicycle, traveling westbound. The bicyclist entered the path of the motorcycle and was struck.

The Land O’ Lakes man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the crash. Local emergency services transported the Lutz motorcyclist to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Troopers confirmed Friday that the man died from injuries suffered in the crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol is handling the ongoing investigation into the incident.
