TAMPA, Fla. – A traffic accident on Saturday afternoon involving a motorcycle and a vehicle has resulted in significant road closures and sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.
Tampa Police officers responded to the scene at the intersection of South Manhattan Avenue and Bay to Bay Boulevard following reports of a motorcyclist being struck by a vehicle.
The rider of the motorcycle was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment of what police described as serious injuries. No further details regarding the individual’s condition or identity have been released at this time.

The intersection is currently fully closed to all traffic as Tampa Police Detectives conduct an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until further notice.
