HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – A man has died after crossing Dale Mabry Highway around 7:15 am Thursday and being struck by a vehicle, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say a vehicle was traveling southbound on Dale Mabry Highway in the right turn lane preparing to turn onto Humphrey Street.
Investigators say that prior to the intersection, a pedestrian walking westbound across the highway entered the path of and was struck by the vehicle.
The man, who has not been identified, was transported to an area hospital, and later expired from injuries suffered during the crash.
