Police Release New Images, Offer $50K Reward in Brown University Shooting

The search for the gunman responsible for the deadly attack at Brown University has entered a critical new phase, with investigators turning to forensic movement analysis to identify the suspect.

Days after the shooting left two students dead and sent nine others to the hospital, the shooter remains at large.

In a bid to break the case, Providence authorities released a new photograph and enhanced video footage on Tuesday that tracks a person of interest in the hours leading up to Saturday’s tragedy.

Police are hoping the public looks beyond just facial features. The released footage specifically highlights the individual’s body language, posture, and unique gait. Investigators believe recognizing these subtle physical patterns could be the key to identifying the suspect where standard facial recognition might fail.

The atmosphere on campus remains tense as the manhunt drags on. With no arrest made, students and faculty are living in a state of high alert.

In response to the violence, Rhode Island’s governor has ordered an immediate, sweeping review of safety protocols at schools across the state.

The tragedy at Brown marks a grim milestone for the nation, which has now seen at least 75 school shootings unfold this year alone.
