As the hunt for the Brown University gunman stretches into another day with no suspect in handcuffs, investigators are leaning harder on the public to help close the net.

On Wednesday, authorities released a map detailing the specific streets where the person of interest was tracking in the hours before Saturday’s attack. The move comes as police scramble to identify a specific individual seen in photos “crossing paths” with the suspect.

Detectives stress that this potential witness could hold the missing piece of the puzzle and are urging community members to study the images closely.

While the investigation presses outward into the city, questions are mounting about the security failures on campus.

Officials revealed that security camera footage around the building where the attack occurred is “limited,” a blind spot that has sparked concern reaching as high as the White House.

The attack, which left two students dead and nine injured, has rattled the Ivy League institution and prompted a statewide review of school safety measures.

Earlier in the week, police released enhanced video analyzing the suspect’s unique gait and posture, hoping someone might recognize how he moves, even if his face remains obscured.

Help the Investigation

Police say community tips are crucial to resolving this case. Anyone with information—especially regarding the person who crossed paths with the suspect or the locations highlighted on the new map—is asked to call the tip line at 401-272-3121.
