According to court records, Lombardi told police that he was concerned about Griswold contaminating the food due to his frequent sneezing. Lombardi admitted to grabbing Griswold from behind and “tossing him to the side” to keep him away from the meal preparations.

Tragically, Griswold suffered a head injury and a fractured neck in the fall. Lombardi found him unconscious on the kitchen floor and called 911. Griswold was transported to the hospital but did not survive.
