ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Drivers in Pinellas County should expect a sea of chrome and heavy traffic delays this Sunday morning as motorcycles claim a major thoroughfare for a good cause.

The annual Bert’s Barracuda Harley-Davidson Toy Run is set for Dec. 7, bringing rolling road closures to 49th Street. The “run” kicks off at 9:30 a.m. from the dealership located at 10525 49th St. N.

From there, the procession of motorbikes will wind through several local cities, including St. Petersburg, heading out to the beach communities before looping back to the starting point.

Police will be stationed along the route to manage traffic. Officers plan to temporarily block intersecting streets to let the bikers pass safely, reopening them to regular traffic once the procession clears.

The event supports families through Bert’s Salute to America Foundation. Roads are expected to be clear and traffic back to normal by noon.
