First Lady Melania Trump took a stand at the White House on Thursday, forcefully striking back against what she described as a coordinated smear campaign regarding Jeffrey Epstein. In a powerful, direct statement, she cleared the air on years of media speculation, calling the allegations “completely false” and “unfounded.”
The First Lady didn’t hold back, taking aim at the character of those pushing the narrative.
“The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today,” she said. “The individuals lying about me are devoid of ethical standards, humility and respect.” She emphasized that while she does not mind ignorance, she will not tolerate “mean-spirited attempts” to tear down her reputation.
Setting the record straight on her personal history, Mrs. Trump confirmed she was never friends with Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell. While the released “Epstein Files” included a polite, brief email from 2002, she dismissed it as nothing more than a “trifle” and a “casual correspondence” from a time when they shared similar social circles in New York and Florida.

She also shut down long-running rumors about her marriage, clarifying that she met Donald Trump at a New York party in 1998, and that Epstein had absolutely no role in their introduction.
Beyond defending her own name, the First Lady pivoted to a call for transparency and victim rights. She challenged Congress to hold public hearings so that survivors of Epstein’s crimes can finally have their stories entered into the official congressional record.
“Each and every woman should have her day to tell her story in public if she wishes,” she stated. “Then, and only then, we will have the truth.”
Her call for action resonated across the aisle, with House Democrats quickly agreeing that a public hearing is necessary.
While the administration has been focused on major global issues like the conflict in Iran, Mrs. Trump’s statement ensures that the push for the full truth regarding Epstein’s network remains a priority.
By demanding these public testimonies, she is positioning herself at the forefront of the fight for total transparency, challenging lawmakers to stop the leaks and start the healing for the women affected.
