Investigation Leads to Charges for Miami Residents
MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A man and woman from Miami were taken into custody Thursday on multiple cocaine-related charges, following an investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The arrests come after a drug sting that reportedly involved the sale of three ounces of cocaine.
Antonio Alvarez, 72, and Marlen Sanchez, 52, both residents of Miami, Florida, have been charged with trafficking cocaine and illegal use of a two-way communication device.

In addition to these new charges, Alvarez is facing two supplementary cocaine-trafficking charges stemming from a prior, unrelated case.
According to statements from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests were the culmination of an investigation during which the suspects allegedly sold three ounces of cocaine to undercover operatives.
Both Alvarez and Sanchez are currently being held in custody at the Monroe County Jail.
