Traffic Stop Uncovers MDMA, Marijuana, and a Glock 9mm Pistol
MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Two Miami residents were arrested Friday afternoon on U.S. 1 after a traffic stop led to the discovery of various drugs and a loaded handgun. Ashley Isabel Correa, 22, and Julian Francisco Paret, 25, both of Miami, are facing multiple charges following the incident.
The arrests happened near Mile Marker 102 at approximately 4:50 p.m. when deputies stopped a Honda sedan. According to reports, an odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle, prompting a search.

During the search, authorities located 0.9 grams of MDMA (ecstasy), a synthetic cannabinoid/vape THC pen, and more than 20 grams of marijuana. In addition to the narcotics, a loaded Glock 9mm pistol was also found inside the vehicle.
Correa and Paret have both been charged with possession of MDMA, possession of synthetic cannabinoids/vape THC pen, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were taken to jail following their arrest.
