Miami Shores Man Jailed After Alleged ‘Unnatural’ Acts At Florida Keys Resort Bar

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 48-year-old man from Miami Shores faces multiple charges following a disturbance at a Florida Keys resort on Friday, where authorities say he inappropriately touched a female patron against her will.

Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Lime Tree Bay Resort in Layton at approximately 8:37 p.m. regarding a battery complaint.

Upon arrival, investigators identified the suspect as John Vincent Krieny. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a woman at the bar reported that Krieny had groped her under her shirt and touched her pants.

The victim, who did not know the suspect, told deputies she was in fear during the encounter. She stated that she demanded Krieny stop multiple times and warned him that her husband would be returning to the bar shortly.

Law enforcement officials noted that Krieny appeared to be intoxicated at the scene.

He was taken into custody and booked into the Monroe County Jail. Krieny is currently charged with simple battery and committing an unnatural and lascivious act.
