Michael Carbonara Scores HUCKPAC Backing Ahead Of Florida Power Summit

The race for Florida’s 22nd Congressional District saw a significant shift in momentum on Monday as HUCKPAC for America officially threw its weight behind Republican candidate Michael Carbonara.

The endorsement, delivered by HUCKPAC Chairman David Huckabee, lands just twenty-four hours before a high-profile political gathering in South Florida featuring Governors Ron DeSantis and Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

David Huckabee, representing a pillar of the modern conservative movement, cited Carbonara’s private-sector background as the primary driver for the support.

“Our nation stands at a critical crossroads with so much at stake,” Huckabee said in a statement released from Weston. “It’s why we need conservative leaders like Michael Carbonara in Washington. Michael’s extraordinary success as an entrepreneur and his personal commitment to the values that build strong families and communities will represent Florida well in the House and help put our nation on the right track.”

Huckabee emphasized that the organization’s mission to preserve the country for the next generation depends on electing candidates with Carbonara’s specific profile.

For Carbonara, the endorsement serves as a bridge between local support and national conservative infrastructure. He framed the move as a sign that national figures are increasingly focusing on the FL-22 seat.

“There’s a reason patriotic families like the Huckabees from across our country are getting on board with our campaign,” Carbonara said. “They understand what’s at stake, and they understand that this district, this state, and this nation need leaders who have actually built something. I am honored to have HUCKPAC for America standing with us, and grateful for David Huckabee’s confidence in this campaign.”

The timing of the announcement is tactical, as Carbonara is slated to appear alongside Governor DeSantis and Governor Sanders on Tuesday, May 12. This latest endorsement adds to a localized coalition that already includes Weston Mayor Margaret “Peggy” Brown, Coconut Creek Vice Mayor John Brodie, and various municipal leaders from Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale.

Organizations such as the Fort Lauderdale Young Republicans and Moms for Liberty have also previously signaled their support for Carbonara’s bid.
