Michigan Player Scores $1 Million Winner As Powerball Jackpot Climbs To $118 Million

The $100 million Powerball jackpot went untouched following the Wednesday, April 22 drawing, sparking a surge in the prize pool for the next run. While no one managed to claim the grand prize—which carried a cash value of $45.8 million—the night wasn’t without its share of winners.

The winning numbers drawn on Wednesday were 24, 29, 32, 49, 63, with a red Powerball of 11 and a 2X Power Play.

According to lottery officials, one lucky player in Michigan successfully matched all five white balls to win a $1 million prize.

However, there were no “Match 5” winners who had opted for the Power Play, which would have doubled that million-dollar payout. Because the top prize survived the night, the jackpot for the upcoming drawing has officially climbed to an estimated $118 million.

For those checking their pockets, remember that Powerball offers nine ways to win. While you need the Powerball or at least three white balls to see a return, a single match of the red Powerball alone is enough to recoup $4. Tickets remain $2 per play, with the optional Power Play and Double Play add-ons available for $1 each.

The next drawing will take place at its usual time of 10:59 p.m. ET. With the jackpot hitting nine figures, officials expect an uptick in ticket sales as the Saturday draw approaches.

Detailed prize charts and specific payout information for last night’s draw are available at the official website, powerball.com.
