MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A midnight drive ended in handcuffs for a 33-year-old Homestead woman who now faces multiple charges after allegedly driving erratically on U.S. 1 and threatening the deputies who pulled her over.
Jeannita Marie Senteno was arrested early Friday morning and charged with driving under the influence, threatening a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and refusal to submit to breath testing.
The incident began around 1:16 a.m. when deputies with the Sheriff’s Office spotted a Chrysler minivan driving erratically near Mile Marker 82. The vehicle matched the description of a reckless driver reported in earlier calls to dispatch.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop and identified Senteno as the driver. According to authorities, she showed clear signs of intoxication and was asked to perform field sobriety exercises, which she failed.
The situation grew tense during the arrest. Authorities state that Senteno threatened to punch the deputies on the scene, tensed her body, and repeatedly pulled away as they attempted to detain her.
Senteno was booked into the Monroe County Jail following the encounter. No injuries were reported during the arrest.
