Midnight St. Petersburg Assault: Police Hunt For 3 Men After Brutal Sidewalk Knockout

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify three men caught on camera following a violent encounter in downtown St. Petersburg last weekend. According to investigators, the incident took place at approximately 2:25 a.m. on May 10th within the 200 block of 1st Avenue North.

The confrontation resulted in a 34-year-old man being punched with enough force to send him to the pavement. The victim hit the concrete and was rendered unconscious.

While authorities have not released an update on the victim’s current medical status, the focus of the investigation has shifted to locating three specific individuals seen in the area at the time of the attack.

Detectives believe the trio may hold vital information regarding the assault. Photos of the men have been circulated in hopes that someone recognizes them. “Investigators would like to find the men pictured and speak to them,” the department stated in a release Wednesday.

Law enforcement is urging anyone who was in the area of 1st Avenue North during the early morning hours of May 10th or who recognizes the men in the surveillance images to come forward.
