Investigators probing the horrific slaughter at Bondi Beach have uncovered chilling evidence linking the father and son suspects to ISIS, marking the attack as Australia’s deadliest mass shooting in nearly three decades.

Counterterrorism officials confirmed Monday that the pair, who gunned down 15 people during a Hanukkah celebration, had recently returned from a trip to the Philippines.

Authorities tracked their movements to an island region notorious for Islamist insurgency, where the duo is believed to have undergone intensive, military-style training before returning to carry out the assault.

The attack, launched on the first night of the Jewish Festival of Lights, left a trail of devastation that police say was a calculated strike against Jewish Australians.

The carnage claimed the lives of a 10-year-old child and a Holocaust survivor who died shielding his wife from the hail of bullets. Twenty-seven others remain hospitalized, some in critical condition.

The 24-year-old suspect, Naveed Akram, lies in a hospital bed under heavy armed guard, while his 50-year-old father, Sajid Akram, was shot dead by responding officers.
