More Than 250K Americans Have Died From COVID Since Biden Took Office, And Few Seem To Care

Last October, then-candidate Joe Biden argued that former President Donald Trump was unfit for the job.

Biden’s assessment had nothing to do with Trump’s imaginary collusion with Russian operatives, mean tweets, criticism of an openly hostile and partisan media, or any other supposed malfeasance committed while in office.

Rather, it was COVID-19.

During the final presidential debate, Biden railed about Trump’s alleged incompetence in dealing with the virus.

“Two-hundred twenty-thousand Americans dead,” Biden said at the time.

“Anyone who’s responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America. We’re in a situation where there are a thousand deaths a day.”

Continuing, Biden added, “There are over 70,000 new cases per day. … And we’re in a circumstance thus far where the president has no plan, no comprehensive plan.”

Yet by Biden’s own metric, he should resign now.

While most corporate media outlets have given up tracking coronavirus deaths, the conservative Washington Free Beacon notes that as of Wednesday, 251,995 Americans have died from the virus – or roughly 32,000 more than when Biden maintained a number that high was disqualifying to be president.

Moreover, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 156,000 new COVID cases were reported on Wednesday – or more than double when Biden scolded Trump for his inaction and lack of a plan.

Admittedly, according to the CDC, the most recent daily death toll is about half of what it was when COVID fatalities peaked between late December and early February.

Still, the current rate is more than twice what it was when Biden declared that Trump did not deserve to be president because of the number of people COVID was killing.

Meanwhile, Biden has had the benefit of increased knowledge about COVID’s behavior, of nearly a year of watching how Trump supposedly did it wrong, and, most importantly, of the vaccines, the distribution of which to the states began on Dec. 14. So far, 76 percent of America’s adult population is vaccinated, according to the CDC.

That puts America within the ballpark for herd immunity.

As NPR reported this week, “Researchers” – who would include Dr. Anthony Fauci – “have estimated that around 70% to 85% of the country needs to be immune to the coronavirus for COVID-19 to stop spreading through communities and peter out.”

Yet, that is not happening. During the first half of September, America has recorded just four days with fewer than 1,000 COVID deaths – or the level at which Biden proclaimed Trump should be booted from the Oval Office.

As the Free Beacon pointed out Wednesday, “The president’s COVID-19 body count is the equivalent of more than 100 Pearl Harbor attacks. It is more than four times the number of American deaths during the Vietnam War, and more than twice the number of Americans killed in the First World War. This isn’t normal. Will our elected leaders ever be held to account for their broken promises?”

With Biden, the answer is likely not.

  1. It’s not that few care, it’s all about the Democrats Media and Big Tech not reporting Covid-19 data or blowing it out if proportion as they did under Trump.
