TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department is currently investigating a traffic collision involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Kensington Avenue and Dale Mabry Highway.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where they are listed in serious condition. Details regarding the cause of the crash or the identities of the individuals involved have not been released.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, authorities have closed all southbound lanes of Dale Mabry Highway at El Prado Boulevard. Police officials stated that the closure is necessary to allow investigators to process the scene.
“Southbound Dale Mabry at El Prado Blvd is currently closed to allow for the investigation,” the department announced in a public advisory. “Please use an alternate route.”
There is currently no estimated time for when the roadway will return to normal operations.
