Authorities across Florida and Georgia are hunting for 38-year-old Isabelle Rose Johnson, who faces a murder charge after the remains of a missing Florida man were uncovered in a shallow grave covered by concrete.
Investigators located the body of Jason Christopher Coulthart, 43, on Thursday, June 25, on a property off Sunset Lane in Freeport, Florida. Coulthart, a New Jersey native and father to a 20-year-old son, was first reported missing on May 24 after leaving the College Condominiums on East College Boulevard in Niceville, Florida.
According to an arrest report, Niceville police received information regarding the location of the body on June 25 and transferred the lead to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, which holds jurisdiction over the property.
Investigators executed a search warrant that evening and discovered Coulthart buried beneath a layer of concrete with a black Cadillac parked directly over the site. A large white zip tie was found tied around his neck.
An arrest report notes that a witness informed law enforcement he knew Johnson had been trying to “get rid” of a man because he was “aggravating and irritating her.”
Johnson remains at large, and investigators believe she may be hiding in Habersham County, Georgia, an area she frequents, or traveling through Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida and lower Alabama. Law enforcement agencies report that she relies on multiple aliases—including Harley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, Jessica Elaine Thrush, Jessica Elaine Thrash, Jessica Dowdy, and “Denise”—and often uses fake personal hardship stories to secure money and rides.
Authorities suspect she may have recently cut and dyed her hair to disguise her appearance. She is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with brown hair.
Five other individuals have already been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact in connection with the homicide.
In a July 16 post on Facebook, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office addressed the suspect directly, writing, “Justice is coming. Isabelle. Harley. Jessica. Whatever you’re calling yourself now. Turn yourself in. Enough is enough.”
The department also shared a message on behalf of Coulthart’s family, stating: “Today, while the search for answers continues, Jason’s parents want people to remember the person behind the case. Their son. Timothy’s big brother. A father. A friend. Someone who showed up. Someone who made people feel cared for. Someone worth knowing. Someone worth finding justice for.”
An $11,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Johnson’s arrest and indictment. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the Walton County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 892-8111 or submit an anonymous tip through Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at (850) 863-TIPS.
