MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 56-year-old Florida man was arrested Thursday, May 28, 2026, and charged with murder following the death of his 62-year-old wife, Lynne Alane Shadduck.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Maracaibo Lane in Cudjoe Key at approximately 5:51 a.m. Deputies discovered Lynne Shadduck lying unconscious on a hallway floor with injuries to her face, head, and hands.
Authorities were first alerted to the situation after the victim’s husband, Bradly Shawn Shadduck, walked to a neighbor’s house. According to law enforcement, Bradly Shadduck was naked, except for a blanket or towel wrapped around him, and requested that the neighbors call 911 because there was “blood everywhere.”
Upon entering the Shadduck home, investigators found the interior in a state of disarray, with blood pooling in multiple areas of the house.
Emergency personnel transported Lynne Shadduck to the Lower Keys Medical Center on Stock Island. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Bradly Shadduck was booked into the local jail on Thursday. The investigation into the incident is still active, and official autopsy results are currently pending to determine the exact cause of death.
Sheriff Rick Ramsay, who personally responded to the Maracaibo Lane scene, confirmed that deputies are not looking for any other suspects.
“There is no threat to the public at this time,” Ramsay said.
