A Navajo Nation man in Arizona has been indicted on federal charges of aggravated sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old.
Jeremy Blueeyes, 25, is accused of engaging in sexual acts with a child under the age of 12 between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2019. The indictment details two counts of aggravated sexual abuse, outlining specific acts committed against the victim, identified as Jane Doe.

Blueyes will remain in custody pending trial, which has not yet been scheduled. If convicted, he faces a minimum sentence of 30 years and a maximum penalty of life in prison.
U.S. Attorney Alexander M.M. Uballez emphasized the gravity of the charges, stating, “The protection of children is a paramount priority for our office. We will continue to work tirelessly to hold accountable those who prey on the most vulnerable members of our society.”

The FBI, with assistance from the Navajo Police Department and Navajo Nation Department of Criminal Investigations, conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Marshall is prosecuting the case.
