HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Craig Latimer has announced that early voting for the 2026 Primary Election will begin on Monday, August 3. Voting will take place daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Sunday, August 16.
The county will maintain 27 early voting sites, but voters in South County will see one location change. The SouthShore Regional Library is unavailable this year due to ongoing renovations.
In its place, elections officials have added the SouthShore Community Resource Center, located at 201 14th Ave SE in Ruskin, as a replacement site. Nearby voters can also use the SouthShore Regional Service Center at 410 30th St SE in Ruskin.
During the two-week early voting period, registered voters may cast a ballot in person or drop off a vote-by-mail ballot at any of the designated early voting locations across the county. On Election Day itself, voters are required to cast their ballot at the specific polling place assigned to their precinct.
Additionally, mail ballots cannot be dropped off at precinct polling sites on Election Day and must be returned directly to an elections office instead.
“We are a large county and I want our voters to have plenty of options to cast their ballot. I keep Early Voting open for the maximum number of days allowed by law, including two full weekends,” Latimer said in a statement.
Voters checking in to vote in person must present a valid Florida driver’s license or another approved form of photo and signature identification. The complete list of early voting sites, approved forms of identification, and additional election details are available at VoteHillsborough.gov.
